Galudih Police Crackdown on Illegal Liquor Distilleries, Creates Panic Among Operators
In a drive against illegal liquor business, the Galudih police station demolished an unauthorized Mahua liquor distillery, creating panic among operators.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Galudih police station is intensifying its campaign against illicit businesses, particularly the illegal liquor trade.
On Friday, a crackdown led by station in-charge Sukhsagar Singh Chaudhary targeted unauthorized liquor operations.
The campaign led to the demolition of an illegal Mahua liquor distillery, which was functioning along the canal side of Rajabasa and Pinrabad villages.
During the operation, around 400 kg of Mahua Java found at the illegal distillery was destroyed.
Several liters of country liquor were also dumped into the ground.
At the time of the crackdown, the site was deserted.
The crackdown has sent shockwaves through the community of illegal liquor operators.
As news of the raid spread, illegal operators in the area reportedly fled the scene.
Speaking about the operation, station in-charge Sukhsagar Singh Chaudhary noted that the crackdown is part of a larger campaign ordered by senior officers to dismantle illegal country liquor distilleries in the area.
He affirmed that the campaign will continue to ensure such illicit businesses are eradicated.
