JAMSHEDPUR – In a major crackdown, Sundernagar police seized and dismantled three illegal country liquor distilleries in the Chirugoda forest of Marchagoda.
The raid resulted in the destruction of liquor-making equipment and approximately 200 kg of Mahua, a key ingredient in country liquor production.
Police station in-charge Shankar Prasad Kushwaha informed that the operation was part of a district-wide campaign against illegal liquor traders, intensified due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.
Acting on secret information, the police conducted several raids in the Chirugoda forest.
Despite the successful seizure of materials and the destruction of distilleries, no arrests were made during the operation.
