Authorities Seize and Destroy Illegal Liquor Equipment and 200 kg of Mahua Amid Lok Sabha Elections

Sundernagar police station in Jamshedpur dismantled three illegal country liquor distilleries and destroyed 200 kg of Mahua in Chirugoda forest.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a major crackdown, Sundernagar police seized and dismantled three illegal country liquor distilleries in the Chirugoda forest of Marchagoda.

The raid resulted in the destruction of liquor-making equipment and approximately 200 kg of Mahua, a key ingredient in country liquor production.

Police station in-charge Shankar Prasad Kushwaha informed that the operation was part of a district-wide campaign against illegal liquor traders, intensified due to the ongoing Lok Sabha elections.

Acting on secret information, the police conducted several raids in the Chirugoda forest.

Despite the successful seizure of materials and the destruction of distilleries, no arrests were made during the operation.

The district administration has increased efforts to curb illegal liquor production, especially in light of the elections.

Authorities are determined to ensure that illicit activities do not influence or disrupt the electoral process.

The raids have been lauded as a necessary measure to maintain law and order during this critical period.

Residents and local leaders have expressed support for the police action, hoping it will deter further illegal activities.

The absence of arrests, however, raises concerns about the potential for resumed operations by the perpetrators.

Police have assured continuous vigilance and further actions to prevent illegal liquor production in the region.

The successful raid highlights the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to tackle illicit activities and maintain public safety.
