Home Guard Jawan, Accomplice Arrested in Dumka JMM Worker Murder Case

In the murder case of JMM worker Munshi Soren, a home guard jawan and another have been arrested. The case originated from Shikaripada police station area.

DUMKA – Dumka police have cracked the JMM worker murder case.

On July 2, the complainant Saroj Muni Murmu reported to Shikaripada police station that her husband Munshi Soren was missing.

Following her report, the police began an investigation.

They soon discovered a dead body in the jurisdiction of Shikaripada police station, which was identified as that of Munshi Soren.

Subsequently, a murder case was filed and the police continued their investigation.

Munshi Soren was a resident of Kathalia village, which falls under the Raneshwar police station area.

Investigations revealed that a home guard jawan from the same village had conspired to kill Soren over a land dispute.

The jawan, along with accomplices Rasik Murmu and Prem Murmu, had lured Soren to the Kendpahari football ground, where they allegedly intoxicated him.

Following this, they brutally murdered Soren by severing his leg and subsequently hid his body in the bushes in an attempt to destroy evidence.

The police, with the assistance of a Special Investigation Team and technical support, managed to apprehend the three suspects.

They also recovered the severed leg, a mobile phone, and a bike that were used in the execution of the crime.

Currently, all three accused have been remanded to judicial custody.

SDPO Noor Mustafa Ansari mentioned that the call leading to the minor accomplice was traced back to his phone.

Upon apprehension, the minor revealed the details of the crime, leading to the arrest of the actual perpetrators.
