The aim is to ensure that rainwater and drainage do not get jammed, preventing any inconvenience to the common people.

However, during the rains in Jamshedpur city, there has been a consistent problem of drain blockages in the areas managed by Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee and Mango Municipal Corporation.

This has led to rain and drain water entering hundreds of houses, causing loss of lakhs of rupees to the people every year.

This time, officials of both the civic bodies have claimed that such a situation will not be allowed to arise.

Thorough preparations are already being made.

Large motors will also be installed in the low-lying areas so that if there is excess rain, its water can be directly dumped into the river.

On the other hand, cleaning of big and small drains is being done continuously.

Both the officers have also appealed to the common people not to put the garbage directly in the drain.

There are frequent complaints that many people tie their garbage in sacks or plastic and put it in the drain, which leads to blockages.

And during the rains, the drain overflows and enters their own houses.

This work will continue continuously even during the rainy season.

A phone number has also been issued for the common people, so that wherever there is water logging or drain overflow during rains, its complaint can be made immediately.

The aim is to ensure it can be repaired within 24 hours.
