Tata Steel UISL Prepares Jamshedpur for Monsoon with Comprehensive Drain Cleaning Drive

Pre-Monsoon Readiness: Tata Steel UISL Undertakes Extensive Nala Cleaning in Jamshedpur

Tata Steel UISL is actively cleaning and desilting the drainage system in Jamshedpur to ensure efficient water flow during the upcoming monsoon season.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel UISL has initiated a comprehensive pre-monsoon cleaning and desilting drive of the city’s drainage network to ensure smooth water flow during the rainy season.

The cleaning process began in early March and has made significant progress, with several Nalas cleared of silt and debris.

This effort aims to prevent rainwater logging caused by constructions close to or obstructing the drainage paths.

The work is expected to be completed before the monsoon arrives.

Despite substantial progress, the cleaning drive faces challenges due to encroachments on the Nalas.

These obstructions hinder the flow of water and pose safety risks during maintenance activities.

Tata Steel UISL urges citizens to cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness of the Nalas by following certain guidelines.

Residents are advised to refrain from dumping garbage into Nalas and drains.

Community clean-up drives and awareness programs are being organized to encourage public participation.

By adhering to these guidelines, the city can better prepare for heavy downpours and reduce the risk of waterlogging.

The initiative aims to ensure the smooth flow of rainwater into the river.

Tata Steel UISL emphasizes the importance of community cooperation to keep the drainage network efficient and safe.

The cleaning drive highlights the company’s commitment to the city’s pre-monsoon preparedness.

This proactive measure is crucial for mitigating waterlogging risks and ensuring a safer monsoon season.
