Dhanbad Police Register FIR Against 200 After Violent Clash; Enforce Section 144 in Katras

After a violent clash in Katras, Dhanbad, police have registered an FIR against 200, including 80 named individuals, imposed section 144, leading to an uneasy calm in the area.

DHANBAD – An intense clash between two groups in Chhatabad Keludih, a region under the jurisdiction of Katras police station in Dhanbad district, led to police action on Friday.

In response to the incident, an FIR has been registered against 200 unidentified individuals, including 80 named individuals from both factions.

The FIR was registered by the in-charge of Katras police station.

In an attempt to maintain law and order, Section 144 has been imposed in Chhatabad, Keludih and Akashkinari until further notice.

To date, the police have arrested and incarcerated 34 people, and efforts to apprehend the others continue.

The enforcement of Section 144 has resulted in deserted streets with all businesses shuttered.

The police force is stationed at various locations throughout the area.

Baghmara SDPO Nisha Murmu stated that the implementation of Section 144 has reduced public movement.

A police force is deployed in all areas, with an appeal to the public to maintain peace and refrain from engaging in any form of rumor-mongering.

If any suspicious activity is noticed, locals are urged to inform the local station in-charge or the police officer of their choice.
