37 new Covid-19 positive patients in Jharkhand, 9 from RIMS

Ranchi: 37 new Covid-19 patients have been found in Jharkhand on Sunday. With this, the total number of infected patients in the state has gone up to 1760. 14 persons have been found positive in Simdega district, while 10 have tested positive in Jamshedpur during the last 24 hours. Nine confirmed cases are from Ranchi, while the number is one each for West Singhbhum, Gumla and Chatra.

All nine samples found positive in Ranchi are from patients admitted and under treatment in RIMS. Two doctors of RIMS have also tested positive. One belongs to neurosurgery department, while the other is from surgery department. Both tested positive on Sunday.

Seven others are patients admitted in RIMS for treatment in different departments. All of these patients have now been admitted into the Covid ward.

There is a wave of concern among the medical staff in RIMS. All are apprehensive about chances of getting infected. A total of 503 blood samples have been tested in RIMS, out of which 476 were found negative. On the other hand seven patients have also been cured.
