Theft in Mango Dai Guttu, Jamshedpur Leaves Locals in Fear
A string of thefts in Jamshedpur’s Lohanagari area sparks fear among residents, with the latest incident involving a burglary in a house in Dai Guttu.
JAMSHEDPUR – Residents of the steel city of Jamshedpur, are living in fear due to a recent surge in thefts.
The unpredictability of the thieves’ targets, which range from houses to shops and institutions, has left everyone on edge.
Even before the police can fully investigate one case, another comes to light.
The latest case took place in Dai Guttu, under the jurisdiction of the Mango police station, where a vacant house was targeted.
Thieves stole goods worth more than 50,000 rupees.
The owner of the house, Santosh Kumar, who currently resides in Bangalore, was informed of the theft by his neighbors.
Upon reaching Jamshedpur, he found that the main gate of his house had been broken, and brass items stored in the house were missing.
Although the thieves attempted to steal more goods, they were unsuccessful.
Santosh estimates the cost of the stolen items to be around 40,000 to 50,000 rupees.
A complaint has been filed at the Mango police station, and officers are currently investigating the matter.
