Inder Singh Namdhari’s Autobiography to Debut in Jamshedpur
Autobiography of Jharkhand’s Veteran Politician and Sikh Leader Inder Singh Namdhari to be Unveiled in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.
JAMSHEDPUR – Inder Singh Namdhari’s autobiography, “Ek Sikh Neta Ki Dastaan,” is set for release at 4 pm on Wednesday in the Motilal Nehru Public School auditorium.
Namdhari, who served as the Protem Speaker of the 15th Lok Sabha, a former Bihar Minister, and the first Speaker of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly, will open up about untouched aspects of his life in the book.
A Book of Political Journey and Cultural Insight
The book will be launched by Harivansh Ji, a political critic, thinker, and Rajya Sabha MP, and former editor-in-chief of Hindi daily Prabhat Khabar.
Saryu Roy, the former minister of Jharkhand, and Kunal Shadangi, former MLA of Samiksha Bahragora assembly, will preside over the event.
The book delves into India’s ancient heritage of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and the virtues of unity in diversity, with an emphasis on the acceptance and representation of the Sikh population by the majority.
Resilience and Public Service: The Namdhari Way
The autobiography highlights the partition pain, the generosity of United Bihar Daltonganj, and the struggles faced by the Namdhari family.
After being elected to the 15th Lok Sabha in 2009 from the Chatra constituency, Namdhari became the Speaker Pro Tem, a significant accomplishment in his political career.
A Sikh Leader’s Tale
Encouraged by his journalist daughter, Namdhari initially titled his autobiography after Rabindranath Tagore’s line “Ekla Chalo Re”.
However, it was later changed to “Ek Sikh Neta Ki Dastaan,” reflecting India’s life philosophy.
Notably, Namdhari wanted to establish Jamshedpur, founded by Jamsetji Tata, as his workplace and release his autobiography in the city synonymous with India’s industrial foundation and economic sovereignty.
