Health Inspector Seals Mahamaya Hotel in Gamharia for Food Safety Breaches
Mahamaya Hotel in Gamharia sealed for violation of food safety standards, including serving rotten meat, following an inspection by District Food Safety Officer Aditi Singh.
Jamshedpur – A crucial operation was executed on Thursday, led by District Food Safety Officer Aditi Singh, which led to the closure of Mahamaya Hotel in Gamharia.
Multiple hotels in the vicinity were subjected to surprise inspections, stirring anxiety among hotel proprietors. During these spot-checks, the Food Safety Officer gathered food samples for further analysis.
The sanitation standards of Mahamaya Hotel’s kitchen, however, sparked outrage in the inspecting officer.
She didn’t just criticize the proprietor for the inferior quality meat being offered to customers, but also ordered the sealing of the entire hotel, including its kitchen, until further directives. Subsequent scrutiny unveiled the use of decayed meat in food preparation, served to unsuspecting customers.
It was also discovered that subpar ingredients and spices were employed in the various dishes. The District Food Safety Officer clarified that these actions were instigated by a complaint lodged against the hotel for contravening Food Safety Standards.
She vowed to continue such enforcement in the future, urging all retailers and hotel owners to diligently follow food safety regulations in their operations.
