Youth shot in head in Adityapur Manjhi Tola Shirish Bhatta, serious

Adityapur: Criminals are having a field day in some areas of Seraikela-Kharsawan district. On Sunday too they carried out a ghastly attack on a youth. The incident occurred on Sunday near Manjhi Tola Shirish Bhatta under Adityapur police station of Seraikela- Kharsawan district,

According to information received, a youth named Akash Gope was shot by criminals during gambling on the river banks.

The bullet allegedly hit Akash in the head. He was rushed to MGM Hospital, from where he has been referred to Tata Main Hospital.

The condition of the youth remains critical.

Criminals have been quite active in areas adjoining Adityapur for the last few months.

A total of 9 murders have taken place since last February.

On the other hand, the firing at the youth caused quite a flutter in the area.

Sources said that the attacked youth Akash Gope is the brother of late Karthik Gope.

Karthik Gop was lynched to death by criminals in Satbahini on May 2 last.

The police are trying to ascertain whether there is a link between the two incidents.

Investigations have been launched.
