Drunken Youths Vandalize Car After Confrontation Over Group Gathering in Telco

Drunk youths damage resident Kush Soni’s car in Telco with stone pelting after a confrontation over group gathering. Investigation underway.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a late-night revenge act, some persons vandalized Kush Soni’s new Maruti Swift car in Telco.

The incident occurred in the Kharangajhar Community Development Ground of Telco on Thursday.

On Friday afternoon, Kush Kumar Soni reported the incident at the Telco police station.

Upon receiving the report, the station in-charge Ranvijay Sharma directed the local police to begin the investigation.

The police arrived promptly at the scene to conduct inquiries.

Local residents indicated that the area has seen an increasing problem with unruly youths.

Public consumption of alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs is reportedly a common occurrence in the area.

Even in the vicinity of a government school, young individuals are known to indulge in substance abuse.

Tensions escalate when these individuals are confronted, often resulting in verbal abuse and physical altercations.

Kush Kumar Soni’s written complaint to the Telco police station named several individuals involved in the incident.

He recounted that on June 13, several youths were seen in an intoxicated state, seated on the hood of his Swift car.

When his father, Umesh Prasad, asked them to leave, the youths responded with threats.

Following this interaction, his car was damaged in a stone-pelting incident just two days later.

In response to the incident, BJP leader Ankit Anand visited the scene and expressed his concern.

He called upon the Senior Superintendent of Police and the local police station to initiate a rigorous campaign against drug abuse.

Telco station in-charge Ranvijay Sharma ensured that prompt action would be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.

He reiterated that the police would not hesitate to take stern action against alcohol and drug-related offenses.

Kush Kumar Soni shared that he had purchased the second-hand car just two months ago.

He believes the car was damaged in an act of spite and retaliation by the intoxicated youths.

This incident has sparked significant unease among the local residents.
