Kolhan Commissioner Orders Changes in School Timings Till June 17 Due to Heatwave Threat

Amidst intense heatwave, the Commissioner of Kolhan alters school timings for government and private schools across three districts until June 17, responding to requests from parents, teachers, and the public.

JAMSHEDPUR – Due to extreme heat and the risk of heatwaves, the Commissioner of Kolhan, following requests from the Teachers Association, parents, and civil society, has decided to adjust the timings of all government and private schools across the division’s three districts – West Singhbhum, East Singhbhum, and Seraikela Kharsawan – until June 17.

A letter to this effect has been sent to the Deputy Commissioners of the three districts by the Commissioner of Kolhan Division, Manoj Kumar.

Amidst intense heatwave, the Commissioner of Kolhan alters school timings for government and private schools across three districts until June 17, responding to requests from parents, teachers, and the public.

Pursuant to the Divisional Commissioner’s order, classes in government and private schools across the three districts will follow this schedule until June 17:

1. Class 01 to 05 will operate from 06:30 AM to 09:30 AM.

2. Classes 06 and above will operate from 06:30 AM to 10:30 AM.

3. Anganwadi centers will operate from 06:30 am to 09:30 am.

The Kolhan Commissioner also directed that nutritious food should be provided to children in Anganwadi centers and government schools.
