Tata Steel’s Green-a-thon Celebrates World Environment Day 2023

Tata Steel to host Green-a-thon on June 4, 2023, in Jamshedpur, celebrating World Environment Day and promoting environmental awareness. Registration is now open.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a bid to raise awareness about environmental issues and honor World Environment Day, Tata Steel is hosting a Green-a-thon on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

The event will kick off bright and early at 6:00 am at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Open to all Jamshedpur citizens, the Green-a-thon invites participants to register via this link – https://forms.office.com/r/1HC4n6GiB8.

The running route will traverse the periphery of the scenic Jubilee Park. Registration will close on June 2, 2023, so interested participants are urged to sign up soon.

World Environment Day is globally observed on June 5 every year to spread awareness about pressing environmental issues. Coordinated by the United Nations, each year spotlights a different theme to promote specific actions for environmental protection.

This year, the rallying cry is #BeatPlasticPollution, urging people worldwide to reduce, reuse, and recycle plastic for a healthier environment.
