East Singhbhum Students Threaten Further Protest Over Non-registration at Model School, Dhalbhumgarh
Supported by student organizations, unregistered students of Dhalbhumgarh’s Model School demand action from district authorities.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a bid to raise their voices against administrative negligence, 17 students of Class IX from Model School, Dhalbhumgarh, in East Singhbhum district, along with supporting student organizations, visited the district headquarters and submitted a demand letter to the Deputy Commissioner.
The students allege that their registration for the academic session of 2022-23 has not been completed due to the school administration’s negligence. In protest of this issue, they went on a fast on May 12, which was subsequently ended by assurances of action from the District Education Officer and the Block Development Officer.
However, these assurances have proven to be hollow as the registrations are still pending. The students have now issued a warning stating that if the registration is not completed within the next 15 days, they will resort to further, more intense forms of protest.
