19th Kolhan Regional Sports Competition Kicks Off in Jamshedpur at Golmuri Police Center

19th Kolhan Regional Sports Competition begins in Jamshedpur, featuring 13 events and 5 teams, with local police hosting and encouraging athletes.

Jamshedpur: The 19th Kolhan Regional Sports Competition has commenced at the Jamshedpur Police Center, with a colorful opening ceremony.

Hosted by Jamshedpur Police, the three-day event features five teams competing in 13 different sports. Seven events are being held at Golmuri Police Center, five at JRD Tata Sports Complex, and one at Mangal Singh Akhara.

During the inaugural session, Kolhan DIG Ajay Linda encouraged the athletes and emphasized the importance of sports in policing, highlighting the physical and mental benefits it provides.

He urged competitors from all three districts to excel in their performances.

Jamshedpur SSP Prabhat Kumar also offered encouragement and wished the players well.

The opening ceremony included a parade, with participants impressing onlookers as they marched in sync to the band’s tunes.
