Mithila Sanskritik Parishad Golmuri organizes Vidyapati Smriti Samaroh in Sakchi to celebrate rich Maithil culture
Jamshedpur: The Vidyapati Smriti Samaroh, organized by the Mithila Sanskritik Parishad Golmuri, was inaugurated on Saturday evening with much fanfare. The festival was inaugurated by offering flowers and lighting a lamp on the portrait of Baba Vidyapati in the grounds of the Bodhi Temple Complex, Sakchi.
The Parishad President Shishir Kumar Jha presided over the program organized on this occasion.
The stage was conducted by Dr. Ashok Jha Avichal, and the report of the Council was read by General Secretary Sujit Jha.
The first day of the festival was addressed by the chief guest, former MP and in-charge of 3 state units of Congress party, Dr. Ajoy Kumar.
Addressing thousands of Maithil community members present, Dr. Ajoy Kumar highlighted that Mithila’s melodious language, food style, and culture are unique in itself.
He further stated that the people of the society are able to produce scholars and intellectuals only because of taking the society and culture together.
Dr. Kumar emphasized that the Maithil language has got the status of second official language in Jharkhand but could not find a place in the employment policy.
He assured the audience that collective effort will surely yield its result, and everyone needs to work together in this direction.
During the program, social worker Shiv Shankar Singh assured the Parishad of full cooperation in organizing Maithili Thakur’s program.
Congress District President Anand Bihari Dubey and former District President Ravindra Jha also addressed the program and assured all possible cooperation.
The organizers said that the Vidyapati Smriti Samaroh is a celebration of the rich cultural heritage of the Maithil community, and it provides a platform for people to come together and celebrate their unique traditions and culture.
They said that the festival promises to be a grand success, and the organizers expressed their gratitude towards the participants and guests who attended the event.
