Gold chain snatched from woman during morning walk in Mango

Jamshedpur: An unknown miscreant snatched a gold chain worth Rs. 70000 from a woman at Mango between Hill City Apartments and Big Bazaar Saturday morning.

According to the woman, Anjana Singh, she was robbed of her gold chain while on a morning walk in Mango,

Anjana Singh, a resident of Hill City, NH 33, said that she was targeted by a criminal who snatched her chain and escaped on a black Hero Honda motorcycle at around 6:06 am.

Singh said that she was walking towards Big Bazaar when the criminal sped past her on the motorcycle.

She initially thought that the criminal was attempting to snatch her mobile phone, but instead, the criminal snatched her gold chain and fled towards Dimna Chowk at high speed.

She ran after the criminal, but he managed to escape due to the lack of people on the road at that time of the morning.

Singh’s gold chain was worth ₹70,000, and she suffered injuries from the criminal’s nail while he snatched her chain.

After the incident, BJP leader Vikas Singh arrived at the scene and accompanied Anjana Singh to the Mango police station to file a written complaint about the incident.

Singh also demanded that the CCTV footage be scanned, the criminals be identified, and the stolen chain be returned to her.

The incident has highlighted the increasing crime rate in Mango, with drug addicts reportedly being responsible for a rise in criminal activities in the area.

The administration has been accused of covering up such incidents after they happen, raising concerns about the safety of people in the area.

Vikas Singh urged the police to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents and ensure the safety of the residents of Mango.
