Mango Flyover Jinx: No Inauguration by CM Despite Announcement
Promises Made, Several Schemes Inaugurated but Mango Flyover Ignored
Chief Minister Champai Soren’s public meeting at Gandhi Maidan in Mango, Jamshedpur, saw the inauguration and foundation laying of several schemes worth crores. Yet, nothing was done for inaugurating the so-called much-publicized flyover.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Sunday, Chief Minister Champai Soren held a massive public meeting at Gandhi Maidan in Mango, Jamshedpur.
Many schemes were inaugurated, and foundation stones were laid, but the much-anticipated Mango flyover was not mentioned.
Residents Disappointed
Mango residents had hoped the Chief Minister would announce the flyover project.
In the past, work on the Mango flyover was initiated by Minister Banna Gupta and Chief Minister Soren but was later halted.
The absence of any mention of the flyover during the meeting left residents feeling deceived.
BJP’s Sharp Reaction
BJP leader Vikas Singh criticized the government for not addressing the Mango flyover.
He accused local MLA and Health Minister Banna Gupta of treating Jamshedpur residents as puppets and failing to deliver on promises.
Three years ago, the foundation stone for the Mango flyover and bus stand was laid by the then Chief Minister Hemant Soren, but no progress has been made since, he said.
Singh accused Gupta of staging fake events to fool the people as elections approach.
He further claimed that the minister has been wasting public money on repeated events without actual progress.
Future Actions
Vikas Singh has questioned the expenses incurred on the repeated setups for the Bhoomi Pujan programs.
He said he would seek information under the Right to Information Act 2005 and plans to file a case against the responsible officials.
Singh alleged that Minister Gupta is more concerned with safeguarding his wealth than addressing the needs of the public.
He vowed to take legal action against the department’s executive officer and others involved in misleading the public.
The disappointment over the unfulfilled promise of the Mango flyover continues to stir strong reactions from the community and opposition leaders alike.
