No restrictions on DJs, trailers, tableaus; no case against anyone; no bandh either : Bidyut Mahato

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Mahato saves the day for all sides, emerges as seasoned mediator

Jamshedpur: The dispute between the Akhara committee and the district administration in Jamshedpur has been amicably resolved, according to Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato. There won’t be any restriction on using DJs, trailers or tableaus during a festival of joy and devotion. And there won’t be any bandh either.

The settlement of the differences was announced by Mahato, who said that there will be no restrictions over DJ, trailer, or tableaus during the Ram Navami processions.

Mahato stated that the jhankis, which are eagerly awaited by devotees, will be performed in the traditional manner. He said that cultural troupes from as far as Rajasthan have arrived for Ram Navami procession and it would be disappointing if they are not allowed to perform.

He emphasized that there won’t be any cases registered against any person and there won’t be any bandh either.

Mahato called for better coordination between the Akhara committee and the district administration to avoid confusion over small issues in the future.

He expressed his satisfaction with the resolution of the dispute, stating that all the Akharas will be taking out the processions as the differences have been resolved.

The decision was taken after a meeting of all Akhara Samitis and people of Hindu organizations with all top officials, including the Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav and SSP Prabhat Kumar. The Jamshedpur Bandh, which was called for Saturday, was withdrawn due to the settlement of the differences.

The announcement of the settlement of the dispute has been met with relief by everyone, even among the Akhara samitis.

Ram Navami processions are being taken out in different areas of the city soon after the matter was resolved.
