The Sal tree, which is revered by the tribal groups, is one of the trees that are worshiped during the festival of Sarhul.
The celebration ushers in the growing season and provides an opportunity to ask the gods for their blessings on a bountiful crop.
They worship the deities and make offerings to them while also decorating the Sal tree with flowers, leaves, and fruits throughout the celebration.
They often host feasts for their family and friends and perform traditional dance and music.
