Gurmukh Singh Mukhe arrested from Mercy Hospital

Jamshedpur: Gurmukh Singh Mukhe, an accused in a case involving rape and unnatural sex, was arrested by Kadma police from Mercy Hospital in Baridih on Friday. He was later sent to judicial custody. He was absconding in the case and the police were looking for him.

Gurmukh Singh Mukhe was being treated for a medical condition at Mercy Hospital in Baridih on Friday when he was taken into custody by the police.

After obtaining medical care, he was produced before the court and was sent to judicial custody.

The police had been looking for Mukhe after a lady from Jamshedpur’s Kadma area accused him of raping her against her will threatening with weapons.

After making several raids to find Mukhe, the police got a tip-off Friday that he was at the hospital. They then carried out a raid in the hospital and took him into custody.

The case relates to November 5, 2022 when a woman from Kadma accused him of raping her.

The woman, a mother of two whose husband lives abroad, alleged that she had previously visited the CGPC office to address a family disagreement and had met with Mukhe, who had pledged to assist with the resolution of her problem.

According to her accusation, Mukhe went to the woman’s house in Kadma on November 3 and reportedly raped and molested her while showing a weapon. The woman’s younger son was there when the event occurred, and she also shot a video of it that she gave to the police.
