3 suspects arrested in Vidyut Nagar firing case

Jamshedpur: Adityapur police have arrested three people suspected of being involved in the recent shooting incident that occurred in Vidyut Nagar New Basti.

Bacha Bhai (also known as Sonu Verma), Angad Kumar (also known as Lucky), and Santosh Mahato, the suspects, have been taken into custody.

The police also found a homemade pistol used in the crime.

The police received information about the shooting on February 7 and quickly dispatched a patrol team to the scene, according to the police station In-charge Rajan Kumar.

The team found a man with gunshot wounds named Bongo Savaiya (also known as Bhagwan Savaiya) and took him to MGM Hospital for treatment.

According to Rajan Kumar, an investigation was launched, and the three suspects were apprehended as a result of professional police investigations.

The shooting was allegedly carried out in retaliation for the murder of a young man named Pandey Sardar in 2020, and Bhagwan Savaiya has a criminal record, added Rajan Kumar, the officer in charge of Adityapur police station.

Bhagwan is being treated at RIMS right now.
