Tata Steel celebrates International Day of Yoga

Jamshedpur: Tata Steel’s Sports department today organised a yoga session to mark International Day of Yoga, which is celebrated worldwide today.

The theme for this year is ‘Yoga for Humanity’. It emphasises on how yoga helps to cure COVID-19 and how it benefits in achieving the holistic health of an individuals.

The session was held at the Archery Ground, JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur. Around 1,000 yoga enthusiasts attended the session by yoga guru, Arvind Prasad.

Some of the asanas demonstrated were Mudra Gyan, Kapal Bharati, Kati Saundrya, Anulom Vilom, Ujjai Pranayam, Bharamri Pranayam, etc. A programme booklet was distributed among participants which explained various asanas that were demonstrated during the session.

The event was attended by employees and families of Tata Steel and its group companies, cadets and coaches from various academies at JRD Tata Sports Complex, citizens and students of Jamshedpur.
