Burglary in 2 Sidhgora shops, valuables worth lakhs stolen

Unidentified thieves broke into 2 shops of Sidhgora and decamped with valuables worth lakhs. Police suspect drug addicts might be behind these incidents.

Jamshedpur: In a serious case of burglary, unidentified criminals broke into a shop in Sidhgora market and decamped with valuables worth lakhs of rupees Friday night.

According to police, Friday night, burglars broke into two shops by cutting a portion of the tin roof in Sidgora market.

The owner of Gitanjali Studio, who came to open the shop on Saturday morning, found the roof of the shop broken.

He found that expensive cameras, printers, lenses and expensive equipment worth lakhs of rupees were stolen by the burglars who managed to break the lock of the cash counter.

The owner of the shop, Chiku Kumar, informed the local police about the incident.

On receiving the information, the police arrived and started investigations.

On the other hand, the burglars also broke into another shop Kalinga Store that sells provisions.

The thieves entered the shop by cutting the roof of Kalinga Store, a ration shop adjacent to the studio.

Money and expensive items are missing from Kalinga Store too.

He too informed the incident to Sidgora police.

After the information, the police has started investigation into the incident.

According to Sidgora police, a number of drug addicts hang around in the area.

Police feel that drug addicts might be behind the incident. At present, the police are interrogating some suspects.
