One shot dead in Kapali area, assailants flee

Unidentified assailants shot dead a person in Kapali area in Jamshedpur and managed to flee on Friday. Reasons for the crime are still not clear.

Jamshedpur: in a shocking incident, a 45-year-old man Abdul J was shot dead in Kapali area under the jurisdiction of Kapali police outpost in Seraikela district Friday morning.

The incident caused quite a flutter in the area and a large number of onlookers gathered at the site of occurrence.

The incident shows that criminals have once again tried to make their presence felt in the area.

Sources said that the incident occurred this morning in Demdubi of Kapali OP area. Unknown criminals shot dead a 45-year-old man named Abdul J and managed to flee.

Sources said that the deceased Abdul J had woken up in the morning and was going to a nearby hotel to have morning tea when the unidentified criminals shot him from behind and managed to flee.

Soon after the incident, hundreds of people from nearby areas gathered at the site of occurrence.

Kapali OP in-charge Vinod Singh also reached the spot with a police team and has started investigating the matter.

Police have reportedly also recovered a cartridge from the site.

Sources said that a few years ago, the deceased Abdul J also used to drive a police vehicle in Kapali OP and he may have been associated with the business of land sale and purchase.

However, the police are still investigating every aspect of the case and the reasons for the murder is not clear yet.

A few days back, a hotel owner Shamim A, a resident of Hansadugri in Kapali OP area, was also shot dead by criminals.
