Jamshedpur: Tight security, alert on Independence day eve

The SSP, Dr. Tamil Vanan, has appealed to citizens to celebrate Aug 15 within Covid-19 norms. He also appealed to citizens to dial 100 if there is any important information.

Jamshedpur: There is a general security alert all over the country on the eve of Independence Day. East Singhbhum police too is on a high alert mode and has made tight security arrangements throughout the district.

An alert has also been issued for the next 3 days in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The SSP of East Singhbhum district, Dr M Tamil Vanan appealed to the common citizens to celebrate the Independence Day by following the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the government.

He has also issued an order to check all the hotels, guest houses and restaurants in the city.

Apart from this, while the police have been asked to keep an eye on the list of people coming from outside the city, all the police station in-charges have also been asked to strictly check the hotels, restaurants and guest houses falling in the respective police station area.

The SSP has issued directives to put all the check points and traffic police in the city on alert mode.

The SSP Dr M Tamil Vnan appealed to the general public to cooperate with the district police administration on the occasion of Independence Day.

He also appealed to the citizenry to pass on any important security-related information to the district administration by dialling up the number 100.
