JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Women’s University’s annual sports series featured badminton competitions at its Bishtupur campus.

The indoor stadium buzzed with activity as 172 students took part in the singles category, while 80 competed in doubles. The results of these competitions are yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, the university has planned a yoga contest for November 29, which will also take place at the Bishtupur campus. These activities are part of the university’s broader sports initiative.

The Annual Sports Meet, set to take place next year, will mark the culmination of these events. Sources highlight the university’s growing focus on promoting sports and wellness among students.

Notably, the university had previously organized interdepartmental competitions, encouraging diverse participation. Institutions across Jharkhand have also been ramping up similar efforts to engage students in extracurricular activities.
