BJP urges DC to expedite Jugsalai overbridge construction

Jamshedpur: A delegation of BJP Jugsalai unit met the Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar on Tuesday and urged him to expedite the construction of overbridge at Jugsalai railway crossing.

The delegation was led by Hemendra Jain Hanu, the Jugsalai unit president of BJP. The BJP Mahanagar president Gunjan Yadav and the district general secretary Anil Modi were also a part of it.

The delegation expressed displeasure over the non-completion of the overbridge even after three years.

It told the DC that the foundation stone of Jugsalai overbridge was laid by the then Chief Minister Raghuvar Das and MP Vidyut Varan Mahto way back in 2018.

The delegation urged the Deputy Commissioner to get the construction work completed in greater public interest at the earliest.

Anil Modi said that the time of construction of this bridge was fixed at 18 months at the time of foundation stone laying.

After that the design of the bridge has changed twice and the construction amount has also been increased.

Despite this, he added, it is disappointing that the bridge has not been not completed on time.

He said that the construction of the bridge is the dream of the residents of Jugsalai area.

He urged the DC to take personal interest in the construction and pave the way for its completion.

The DC Suraj Kumar assured the delegation that he will take stock of the situation and ensure that the work is expedited.

Hemendra Jain, Gunjan Yadav, Anil Modi, Prakash Joshi, Nagendra Pandey, Sundar Gupta, Satyanarayan Agarwal Munna, Ganesh Ravidas, Pintu Saini, Vivek Singh and others were part of the delegation.
