Vaccines to be available at vaccination centers in city from Thursday

Booking will have to be done online

Jamshedpur: The vaccination drive would be launched with a renewed vigour from Thursday. 30 thousand doses of Covishield and 4 thousand doses of Covaxin have reached the city and these would be administered at different vaccination centres of the city starting Thursday itself.

On Thursday, people of 18 to 45 years and above 45 years of age will be given the second dose of Covaxin in the district, whereas people in the age group of 18 to 45 years will be given the first dose of Covishield.

The slots were opened for booking at 9 pm on Wednesday night.

People above the age of 18 years will be given 1000 doses of vaccine at Tarapore School, Dhatkidih and 500 doses at St. Mary’s School, Bistupur.

For this the citizens have to do the booking online.

Citizens above 45 years of age will be given 500 doses at Ravindra Bhavan. For this also booking has to be done online.

People above 45 years of age will be given 250-250 doses at Rajendra Vidyalaya, Sakchi, Civil Union Nurses Quarter, Sonari and New Farm Area Kadma.

Walk in facility will be provided in these centres.

In urban areas, people above the age of 45 will be given a Covishield at 16 centers.

In rural areas, people above the age of 18 will be given the Covishield at 59 centres.

Walk-in facilities will be available at these centres.

People above the age of 18 will be administered Covishield vaccine at 6 centers in the urban areas.

However, everyone will have to register online. Citizens above 18 years of age will have 5550 doses for them.
