Police team raids Bari Nagar house, rescues 50 cattle

Jamshedpur: Acting on a tip-off, the city police have found and rescued about 50 cattle from a house in Bari Nagar under the jurisdiction of Telco police station.

The police team that made the raid on the tip-off was led by ASP Kumar Gaurav.

Later, the ASP Kumar Gaurav said that the police got a tip off about presence of large herd of cattle in a house. Acting on the tip-off a police team raided the house and found the cattle in that house.

He said that even the owner of the house does not know from where those cattle were brought and who has brought them there.

However, he did not deny that cattle smugglers may be behind this.

The ASP said that if any claimant comes forward and claims ownership of the cattle those would be handed over to him.

However, he said, if no claimant comes forward, all the cattle would be sent to Goshalas.

A large police contingent was present during the police raid on the house where the cattle were found. Officer in charge of Telco police station was also present during the raid.
