Tonto police arrest one for molesting woman

Chaibasa: The police have arrested one Rasika Gagrai and sent him to judicial custody on the charges of molesting a woman.

The woman lives in Wadni Tonto and she was married with one Nida of Hat Gamharia in 2019. She lived in her in-laws’ for a few months. However, after a few months, her in-laws threw her out of house at a time when she was pregnant.

The woman told the police that even while she was not living in in-laws’ house, she was being threatened and even her brothers were being threatened.

She said that she had lodged a complaint in the court and her husband was sent to jail.

Meanwhile, she also complained that a few days back her husband’s cousin and a few of his friends entered her house and molested her and even threatened to abduct her.

The woman lodged a complaint against the accused with Tonto police.

The police arrested the main accused on Friday from Amdiya and sent him to judicial custody.
