Youth falls into well, dies in Sidhgora Vidyapatinagar

Jamshedpur: In a tragic incident, a youth fell into a well in the courtyard of his own house Sunday night and died without anyone helping him as his family members were not home and old grandmother was asleep and could not hear any noise.

The deceased has been identified as Anand Kumar, a resident of Vidyapati Nagar Patna Line in Baridih under the jurisdiction of Sidhgora police station.

According to family members the deceased may have gone out for nature’s call when he might have slipped and fell into the well dangerously situated in the courtyard of his house.

It is possible that he died due to drowning. No one came to his help as his family members had gone to their relatives’ house in Kadma and the deceased and his grandmother were left in the house. His grandmother was sleeping and could not hear any sound.

In the morning, the family learnt that he had fallen into the well and had died.

The ASI of Sidhgora police station Surendra Kumar said that they were informed that a youth has fallen into the well. They are still investigating the case and the dead body has been sent for post mortem.

The police are looking into all possible angles and are waiting for post mortem report.
