Corona causes 1 death in Jharkhand on Sunday, 38 new cases

Ranchi: One death was caused by coronavirus in Jharkhand on Sunday as the total death toll in the state remained static at 1,078.

As per official data, the death toll increased by only 1 on Sunday in the state. However, 38 new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in different parts of the state taking the total number of infections to 1,19,017.

According to official data, the state has tested 52,82,669 samples till date. Out of these, 1,19,017 have tested positive.

On the other hand, 1,17,508 patients also have been cured and discharged. On Sunday too, 38 patients were cured and discharged.

For now, the state has only 428 active cases of coronavirus.

The recovery rate for the state has now reached 98.73%, while the mortality rate is static at 0.90%.

East Singhbhum remains the worst-hit district of the state. However, for around 60 days, there has been only one death reported in East Singhbhum.
