JAMSHEDPUR – The Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) Party staged a demonstration at the Deputy Commissioner’s office over various civic issues affecting the city.
Pension payments for elderly, disabled and widows have been delayed for months. Moreover, the Bagbera water supply scheme has completely broken down.
Meanwhile, the Mango area faces persistent traffic congestion issues. Furthermore, non-TISCO areas are dealing with massive garbage accumulation.
Multiple Civic Concerns
The protestors highlighted the stray dog menace in residential areas. Additionally, they demanded extension of the ration card KYC deadline.
On the other hand, garbage piles have become a major health hazard. “The situation is becoming unbearable for residents,” a party leader stated.
Demands and Warnings
The delegation strongly opposed the smart meter installation plans. However, they emphasized the need for immediate restoration of pension disbursement.
Meanwhile, party members threatened to intensify their agitation. “We will launch stronger protests if our demands are ignored,” a senior activist warned.
The memorandum also stressed urgent intervention in Mango area’s problems. Additionally, it called for comprehensive solutions to the city’s civic issues.
