38 days of no corona death in East Singhbhum, 17 new cases, 18 cured on Friday

Jamshedpur: Even while all preparations are complete to launch the biggest vaccination program in the country on Saturday and East Singhbhum too is ready with all preparations, coronavirus continues to spare the citizens as 38th day of no corona-death passed off.

According to official data, no death was reported in East Singhbhum from anywhere and the total death toll remained at 374.

As per data, 17 more persons were identified as corona positive in the district on Friday, taking the total number of infections in the district to 17,883, while 18 persons were also cured and discharged. With this the total number of recoveries in the district has reached 17,344.

For now, the district has only 165 active cases of corona.

Till date, the district has tested 4,96,641 samples. Out of these, 17,883 tested positive, while 4,78,758 tested negative.

The recovery rate in the district has now reached 97.08%, while the mortality rate is 2.09%. The positivity rate for the district is 3.6%.
