Corona claims 2 more lives in Jharkhand on Wednesday, total deaths 1,040 now

194 new cases detected, 165 cured too

Ranchi: Coronavirus has claimed 2 more life on Wednesday taking the total number of deaths due to the pandemic to 1,040 in the state. On Wednesday, 2 deaths was reported in the state. 1 death was reported by Dhanbad and 1 by Ranchi district.

The recovery rate in the state is at 97.85%, while the mortality rate is at 0.89%.

As per official data, 194 new cases have been detected in the state on Wednesday, taking the number of total infections to 1,16,034. Out of these, 1,13,545 have already been cured. On Wednesday too, 165 patients have been cured and discharged.

For now, the state has 1,449 active cases of coronavirus infection, while the deaths have reached the figure of 1,040.

Till date, 48,85,186 samples have been tested in the state.
