City police solve nurse murder mystery, lover’s minor son in custody
Jamshedpur: In a surprise move, the city police have taken into custody a minor on the charges of murder of nurse Anita Sharma of Brahmanand Narayana Hospital. The nurse was murdered in the night of 31st December, 2020. The police have claimed that the murder mystery has been solved and said that the minor son of her lover had killed her in a fit of rage after an argument in her own house.
The city police revealed that the murder mystery that was keeping them on tenterhooks for several days has finally been solved.
Kadma police said that the nurse had a live-in relationship with her lover A Singh. However, A Singh’s family opposed their relationships. Despite family members’ repeated pressure, A Singh did not end his relationship with the nurse.
According to Kadma police, on the day of the crime, the 17-year-old minor son of A Singh took his grandfather’s vehicle and reached the flat of the deceased nurse. He sought Rs. 200 from the deceased for filling petrol in his bike. Then they started talking.
However, the police said, they soon had an argument over something. In a fit of rage, the accused minor took a kitchen knife kept in the house and killed the nurse. After that, he tried to burn the body using the sanitiser kept in the house. Then he left the place on his bike, purchased petrol for his bike, and went back home.
The case had puzzled the city police. However, they continued investigations. Call details record showed that the deceased had frequent calls from A Singh. During interrogation, A Singh revealed that he had live-in relations with her. He also revealed that his family members did not like their relationship. This gave the city police a solid lead into the case and they zeroed in on his son.
During interrogation the minor son revealed all the truth behind the murder mystery, the police said.
Nurse Anita Sharma was killed in Jayanti Apartment on December 31 at night.
