10 Police Teams Probe Tata Steel Executive Vinay Tyagi’s Murder Mystery
Investigators Analyze CCTV Footage, Mobile Data in Search of Clues; No Concrete Evidence Yet
The investigation into the murder of Tata Steel’s National Business Head Vinay Tyagi remains shrouded in mystery as 10 police teams work tirelessly to uncover leads and apprehend the perpetrators.
JAMSHEDPUR – The murder of Vinay Tyagi, Tata Steel’s National Business Head, has left investigators grappling with a complex case as they search for concrete evidence to identify and locate the assailants.
Police teams are scouring CCTV footage that captured three individuals on a motorcycle, believed to be linked to the crime, in an effort to retrace Tyagi’s movements prior to the discovery of his body.
The investigation is currently focused on three key locations, with authorities working to establish a timeline and gather evidence.
Vinay Tyagi’s father, Vishwambhar Singh Tyagi, has filed an FIR, providing a formal basis for the ongoing investigation.
Investigators have uncovered that the victim’s SIM card was briefly transferred to another mobile device for a period of three minutes, after which Tyagi’s location remained untraceable for approximately three hours.
According to Vishwambhar Singh Tyagi, his son had recently relocated from Kolkata to Tata Steel’s Delhi office on April 17.
Reports suggest that Tyagi had expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of certain colleagues and distributors, taking disciplinary action against them.
One notable incident involved a restaurant owner’s complaint against a distributor from Uttarakhand who allegedly failed to commence work after receiving an advance payment of Rs 70 lakh for installing new steel doors.
Police suspect that the attack on Tyagi may have been motivated by robbery, as his laptop, purse, and phone were reported missing from the crime scene.
