CHAIBASA – In a major crackdown, West Singhbhum police, along with CRPF and other battalions, conducted extensive raids against Naxal groups across the district. These operations, directed by Chaibasa SP, aim to dismantle disruptive activities allegedly led by top Naxal leaders.
Joint Operations Target Key Areas
A joint team of police and CRPF battalions, including Cobra units 209, 203, and 205, along with several others, launched a massive search operation. The targeted areas included Goilkera, Kuiyada, Meralgada, and other Naxal-affected regions. Acting on intelligence reports, the team identified potential hideouts used by banned organizations.
Naxal Dump Destroyed, Equipment Seized
During the operation, an old Naxal dump near Bongasieu village was demolished. Among the seized items were a 500-liter Sintex tank, ropes, sports shoes, electric wires, walkie-talkie chargers, and three walkie-talkie sets. Officials believe these items were intended for logistical support in Naxal activities.

Reports suggest that top Naxal leaders, including Misir Besra, Anmol, Ajay Mahato, and others, are active in the region. The operation aims to disrupt their plans and ensure the safety of local communities. Further raids and intelligence gathering are ongoing to apprehend these leaders.
