NIT Jamshedpur pays tributes to constitution

Jamshedpur: NSS NIT JAMSHEDPUR organised a dedicated session to pay tributes to the Indian Constitution on Thursday and reminded the common citizens about the need to abide by the rules and regulations framed in the Constitution.

Constitution of India which is known as the Backbone of India has a legacy of its own. Adopted on 26th of November in the year 1949, it is the culmination of ideas, thoughts and beliefs of people across the nation into one single book that is guiding the nation for over 70 years.

The entire nation is extremely grateful for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Architect of the Indian Constitution. Aimed at creating awareness among the citizens of the country about their fundamental duties, 26 November of every year is celebrated as ‘Samvidhan Diwas’.

The event was addressed by the Director of NIT Jamshedpur Dr K.K. Shukla and Col Nisheeth Kumar Rai, registrar of the institute and an ex-serviceman in the Indian Army.

The Preamble Reading of the Indian Constitution along with the Prime Minister took place at 11 AM to mark the beginning of the event.

Students had also been given an opportunity to express their views and thoughts in the form of poems, slogans and speech, and many of them came up with really insightful verse and speeches/idioms.
