No coronavirus death in city on Monday, 32 new cases detected

Recovery rate 95%, mortality rate 2.2%, positivity rate slides down to 4.9%

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus pandemic spared the city on Monday as the day passed off without any fresh death due to the virus. After about a week, a day has come when the pandemic did not kill any person. The total death toll for the city remains at 364.

However, 32 new coronavirus infection cases were detected in East Singhbhum on Monday. With this, the total number of infections in the city till Monday has reached 16,436.

On the other hand, 54 patients of corona were also declared recovered and were discharged from different hospitals and from home quarantine. With this, the total number of recoveries in East Singhbhum has reached 15,653.

For now, the district has only 419 active cases of coronavirus infection till Monday night.

The recovery rate in the district has now reached 95%, while the mortality rate remains stuck at 2.2%.

The positivity rate for the district has slides down below 5% and has reached 4.9%. Anything below 5% positivity rate is considered as a good sign by the experts.
