Coronavirus in Jamshedpur on Monday: 3 lives lost, 30 more positive

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus has once again claimed 3 more lives on Monday. After a brief respite for a few weeks, the pandemic has once again started rearing its head in the city. With the 3 more deaths on Monday, the total number of deaths caused by the disease in East Singhbhum district has climbed up to 351.

According to official data, till date, 2,85,291 samples have been tested in East Singhbhum district till Monday. Out of these, 2,60,154 samples have tested negative, while 15,615 samples have tested positive.

On Monday, a total of 1,734 samples were tested. Out of these, 30 persons were found positive for coronavirus taking the total number of infections in the district to 15,615.

On Monday itself 39 persons have been declared cured and discharged from different hospitals of the district. Till date, 14,102 patients have been cured and discharged.

East Singhbhum has lost 351 lives to the disease till date and this is a significant. In the recent weeks, there has been some decline in the number of deaths being caused by the disease. However, there has been a fear that the disease may again start spreading fast if people do not follow the social distancing norms during the festivities and winter season.
