Unknown criminals fire at victim near Ganesh Puja Maidan, escape
Jamshedpur: Unidentified criminals shot at and injured one Ashfaque Khan in Kadma. Ashfaque Khan is a resident of Dhatkidih, which falls under the jurisdiction of Bistupur police station. He is son of Mustaque Khan, a government contractor who works for PWD.
Ashfaque was fired at by two bike-borne criminals in Kadma near Andrha Academy School. The bullet pierced his right thigh.
The criminals managed to escape after firing at him. Soon, Ashfaque informed his friends on phone, who reached there and rushed him to TMH. He is being treated at TMH and is stated to be out of danger.
According to information received, Ashfaque Khan is a resident of A Block area in Bistupur and is son of government contractor Mustaque Khan. Monday late night he was returning towards his house through Modma Ganesh Puja Maidan on his bike when he was fired at by bike-borne criminals.
Information says that unidentified miscreants shot at him near Andhra Academy School close to Ganesh Puja Maidan in Kadma. He was injured in the firing incident as the bullet pierced his right thigh.
Narrating the incident, Mustaque Khan, his father, said that he has been fired at even in the past. He said that he was being threatened repeatedly to withdraw the cases and he had even lodged a written complaint about it. He said that some people were pressurising the victim to withdraw the case relating to an extotion incident. He said, today while Ashfaque was returning home, he was fired at and injured.
Mustaque Khan said that a case was already registered by Bistupur police earlier. Yet, not much has been done in that matter as the perpetrators are influential and powerful. The police are investigating the case.
