JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday morning in the Karaikela police station area of Chakradharpur when a police constable, Jamadar Krishna Sahu, allegedly died by suicide.

Sahu, who was from the Gumla district, allegedly shot himself with his service pistol inside the police station quarters.

The shocking event has left the station in turmoil.

Police officer Paras Rana was informed and immediately arrived at the scene.

He sent the constable’s body for postmortem and notified the family of the deceased.

As of now, the reason behind Sahu’s suicide remains unknown.

Police are actively investigating the case to uncover any potential motives or circumstances that led to the tragic act.
