Coronavirus claims 1 more life in Jamshedpur on Tuesday, total deaths 344

Recovery rate for East Singhbhum 90%, mortality rate 2.2%, positivity 6.1%

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus claimed one more life in Jamshedpur on Tuesday taking the total death toll in East Singhbhum district to 344.

According to official data, till Tuesday evening, the district has tested a total of 2,51,708 samples. Out of these 15,340 samples tested positive, while 2,36,368 samples came out negative.

On Tuesday, 21 fresh coronavirus infection cases were detected in the district. With this, the total number of infected persons in the district has reached 15,340.

On Tuesday itself, 50 patients were also cured and discharged, taking the total number of cured and discharged patients in the district to 13,844.

East Singhbhum remains the worst-affected district in Jharkhand with 344 deaths due to coronavirus.

For now, the number of active cases in the district is 1,152. The recovery rate for the district has reached 90%, while the mortality rate is 2.2%. The mortality rate for the country is 1.5%, while for the Jharkhand state the mortality rate is 0.86%. In that sense, the mortality rate of 2.2% is still higher in the district. The positivity for the district is 6.1%
