Corona kills 2 on Wednesday in Jamshedpur, total death toll now 333

Jamshedpur: Coronavirus has killed 1 person from city and 1 from Gamharia on Wednesday in Jamshedpur. With this, the total death toll due to coronavirus in East Singhbhum district has reached 333, excluding the casualty of the resident of Gamharia as he belonged to Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

Those who succumbed to the virus on Wednesday included a 72-year-old maile from Kadma. He was admitted in TMH with breathing difficulties on September 9.

The second casualty was a 74-year-old male from Gamharia. He was admitted in TMH on September 23 with fever and breathing difficulties.

On Wednesday, 61 new coronavirus patients were detected in East Singhbhum district. With this the total number of infections in the district has now reached 14,433.

Among the fresh cases were included 49 from Jamshedpur, 10 from Ghatshila, 1 from Musaboni and 1 from Potka.

The East Singhbhum district administration has tested 12,130 samples till date. Out of these, 1,97,697 samples tested negative. On Wednesday, 132 patients were also cured and discharged from different hospitals.

Till date, 12,618 patients have been cured and discharged from different hospitals of the district.
