Raghubar Das felicitates National Award winner teacher Ishita Dey
Jamshedpur: The former Chief Minister of Jharkhand and BJP leader Raghubar Das felicitated Ishita Dey, vice-principal of Tarapore School. Ishita Dey was bestowed with the National Award by the President of India on Teachers’ Day.
The National Award for Teachers is awarded by the President of India on 5 September (Teacher’s Day) every year to acknowledge contributions of meritorious teachers working in primary, middle and secondary schools in India.
On this occasion, the BJP Mahanagar president Gunjan Yadav and social activist Bailey Bodhanwala was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Raghubar Das appealed to the present government to implement the schemes kickstarted in the area of education during his government.
He also expressed hope that Manipal Medical College as well Women’s College in the city would be operational in 2021.
He said that the present government should implement schemes already launched so that students do not need to migrate for better education.
The former Chief Minister congratulated Ishita Dey as well as two other teachers of the state who have been honoured with National Awards.
