Case to be registered against Bagbera’s Covid-19 positive barber who came in contact with 70 customers
Jamshedpur: One more fresh Corona positive case has been confirmed by sample test on Thursday in East Singhbhum district. With this the total infection tally in the district has now reached 277
East Singhbhum district administration tested 209 samples for COVID-19 on Thursday. Out of these, four samples tested positive. Three of them were repeat samples.
The samples were received on 14th June last. The samples were tested at Department of Microbiology, MGM MEdical College, Dimna Chowk.
Those diagnosed as COVID-19 positive have been admitted in Covid wards of city hospitals.
Meanwhile, in a bizarre case, the district administration has decided to file an FIR against a Covid-19 positive barber, who has come in contact with 70 of his customers by visiting their homes. Out of these 14 of the customers have been quarantined.
According to sources, one Corona positive patient had arrived in CP Tola bustee in Jamshedpur after his heart treatment in New Delhi on June 2. He was under home quarantine. Meanwhile, he was found positive. On Saturday, the barber who had shaved him was also found Corona positive.
Now, the administration has learnt that he has shaved around 70 people in all. Now, a case is being registered against the banner. This has created a wave of concern in the entire CP Tola and Pradhan Tola area. The surveillance team has identified 14 such persons who have come in his contact. A tempo drive has also been quarantined.
Meanwhile, the district administration has again reiterated its appeal to the citizens to continue abiding by all the safety precautions to thwart the spread of the disease and to continue social distancing.
