48 more found positive in Jharkhand, total 1551

Ranchi: The Covid-19 menace is not showing any signs of abatement for now in Jharkhand. 48 new patients have been found positive in the state.

With this the total number of infected patients in the state has now  reached 1551, while eight persons have died due to virus infection. 

According to government sources, the state has 951 active cases as of now. On the other hand, 592 patients have been cured.

The health department was estimating that thte number of Corona infected in the state may top 1500 by June 15. However, the state reached 1599 on  on June 11 itself.

Government sources said that 10 new patients have tested positive for Covid-19 in Ranchi. Three of them belong to Hindipidhi area, while two are from Mandar. One each are from Angarda, Namkum and Kantatoli
